What PIMS is

PIMS (Personal Internet Memory System) is a personal tool for saving, organizing, and resurfacing internet content. You sign in to your own account and save links you choose to keep. The browser extension is an optional companion that saves the current page to your account with one click.

What the extension accesses

The extension only acts when you explicitly ask it to save — by clicking its icon, using the right-click menu, or pressing its keyboard shortcut. When you do, it sends to your PIMS account:
  • the page's URL and title;
  • a short excerpt — your selected text if you highlighted any, otherwise the page's description or the first few hundred characters of visible text — so the saved item has context. This is captured only for the page you are actively saving.

To know who to save the item for, the extension reads your pims_sessionlogin cookie for mogacode.space (via the browser's cookie API) and sends it back to PIMS as proof you are signed in. The cookie is never sent anywhere except to PIMS itself.

What it does NOT do

  • It does not read, track, or transmit your browsing history.
  • It does not run on pages you don't save, and it injects no content into pages on its own.
  • It contains no ads, analytics, trackers, or third-party SDKs.
  • Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

Where your data lives

Saved items are stored in the PIMS database associated with your account, used solely to provide the service to you (showing, organizing, and resurfacing what you saved). Data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Retention & deletion

Items remain until you delete them. You can remove any saved item from your dashboard at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the address below.

Permissions, and why

  • activeTab + scripting — read the URL/title and capture an excerpt of the page you are saving, only on your action.
  • cookies — read your PIMS login cookie so saving works automatically while you're signed in.
  • contextMenus — add the right-click “Save to PIMS” options.
  • notifications — confirm that a save succeeded or was queued.
  • storage — hold saves locally and retry them if PIMS is briefly unreachable.
  • host access to mogacode.space — send your saves to your PIMS account.
